Building the X1

It all started just 3 weeks before the race when what should have been an updated fairing design should have been completed and on the new trike being trialed. Yet the base starting point of the new plug for the mold was just sitting in the shed with bits of foam screwed to the side and some putty over the top. It seemed everyone was hoping someone else would do the actual work!

With the guys all spread far and wide, it basically came down to Kel and Tim to find a way to get things moving. No time to waste, and no time to think whether this was the best/right way to actually do it. It just had to get done as the race was in 3 weeks time!
